OEM, ODM, and custom antenna design: what we build for you
Not every project needs the same thing from a factory. Here is how the three options differ, so you can tell us which one fits.
OEM (build to print)
You bring a finished design or a reference sample. We manufacture it to your specification and put your brand on it. Best when you already have a proven antenna and need reliable volume production.
ODM (design and build)
You bring a requirement or a target spec. Our RF team designs the antenna, then we manufacture and private-label it. Best when you want a new product without running your own RF lab.
Custom antenna design
You bring a hard RF problem: a band, gain, pattern, or form factor that off-the-shelf parts cannot meet. We design, simulate, prototype, and test a new antenna around it.
What you can customize
Frequency bands, gain, radiation pattern, connector and cable, form factor and mounting, housing and radome, color, silkscreen, and packaging. For requirements that standard parts cannot reach, our RF team designs a new antenna from your spec.
Most private-label and custom projects move through six stages, with a checkpoint at each one.
Requirement and selection. We review your bands, gain, pattern, environment, and target cost, then confirm whether an existing design fits or a new one is needed.
RF design and simulation. Our RF and microwave engineers model the antenna and run simulations before any metal is cut, so problems show up on screen instead of on the bench.
Prototyping. We build working samples for your review and testing.
Testing and validation. We measure VSWR, gain, and radiation pattern in our in-house anechoic chamber and tune the design against your spec.
Pilot run. A small trial batch confirms the design holds up in real production before full volume.
Mass production and branding. We produce at volume under ISO 9001 controls, then apply your label, silkscreen, and packaging.

Channel conflict is the first thing most brands ask about. Here is where we stand.
NDA from the start. We sign a mutual NDA before you share drawings, specs, or sample requests.
We do not sell your product. Antennas we design or build for you are yours. We do not resell your design or offer it to other buyers.
We stay a manufacturer. BBT sells under its own name as a manufacturer and supplier. We are not chasing your end customers.
You own the IP and tooling. Custom designs, drawings, and dedicated tooling created for your project belong to you, as set out in the contract.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ depends on the antenna type and how much customization is involved. Tell us the model and the volume you are planning, and we will confirm the MOQ for your project. Lower MOQs are usually possible for standard designs with light branding changes.
How long do samples and production take?
Lead time depends on whether we are building an existing design or creating a new one. Sampling a custom design takes longer than re-branding a standard product. Share your spec and target date, and we will give you a schedule.
Will you sign an NDA and protect my IP?
Yes. We sign a mutual NDA before reviewing your drawings or specs, and custom designs and dedicated tooling we create for you belong to you under the contract.
Will you sell my product to other buyers or compete with me?
No. Antennas we design or build for your brand are yours. BBT ANTENNAS sells under its own name as a manufacturer and is not pursuing your end customers.
Should I choose OEM or ODM?
Choose OEM if you already have a finished design and need volume production. Choose ODM if you have a requirement but want us to design the antenna. If you are unsure, send the spec and we will recommend the route.
What can you customize?

What certifications do you hold?
We are ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified and hold 60+ certifications across products and processes. For project-specific certifications such as CE, FCC, RoHS, or REACH on a given model, ask us and we will confirm what is in place.
Can I visit or audit the factory?
Yes. We welcome an in-person or video audit of our facility in Foshan, China, and we recommend starting with samples before a production order.
